What is an Account Manager and how can I assign one?

To make managing your Yulio account as simple as possible, we’ve introduced the Account Manager user type. This user type allows you to assign someone to oversee your Yulio account licenses and payment without taking up a paid seat.  

Account Managers can invite and remove users, manage licenses, and update billing, making this role perfect for IT personnel, a member of your finance team, or anyone responsible for managing your organization’s Yulio account. Keep reading to learn more about the Account Manager role and how to assign one to your account. 

What can the Account Manager do? 

The primary purpose of the Account Manager role is to give designated members of your team the ability to manage account administration, licenses, and billing without requiring a paid user seat.  

Account Managers CAN: 

  • Update Plan (Purchase/Remove Licenses)*  
  • Invite/Remove Users 
  • Assign User Types 
  • Update Billing Information*
  • Cancel Subscription* 
  • Retry Failed Payments 
  • Receive Billing/Renewal Notification Emails 
  • View Usage and Plan Details 
  • Manage Custom Branding 
  • Delete Account 

*Invoiced accounts must contact sales or client success to update/cancel their plan and update billing information.

Account Managers CANNOT: 

  • Create or Edit VR Projects
  • Create or Manage Project Folders 
  • Manage Headsets 
  • Launch a Collaborate Session 
  • Create or Manage Client Galleries 
  • Consume a Paid Seat 

How to Invite an Account Manager to your Yulio Account 

To invite an Account Manager to your Yulio account, start by logging in to your account. 

Next, click on your email in the top right corner and select Company Settings from the drop-down menu.

From here, click on the Manage Licenses tab and then select Assign License.

Enter the individual’s information in the empty fields and then select the Account Manager user type. Click Create to invite them to the account – they will receive an invitation to their email to join the account.

How to Assign a Current User as an Account Manager 

To assign a current user on your Yulio account as Account Manager, start by logging in to your account. 

Next, click on your email in the top right corner and select Company Settings from the drop-down menu.

From here, click on the Manage Licenses tab.

Scroll down to find the user that you would like to assign as Account Manager. In the Type column, select their current user type and re-assign it to Account Manager.

The user’s role will update immediately, and a paid seat will become available again. 

Note: At least one Admin-level user is required on your Yulio account at all times 

What is the difference between the Admin and Account Manager user types? 

The key difference between the Admin and Account Manager roles is that an Admin has full access to the Yulio account, including creating and presenting VR content. For this reason, an Admin-level user consumes a paid seat on the account.
