Yulio Subscription: Monitoring Your Views

As Yulio continues to grow as a go-to platform for architects and designers to create and present VR projects, we are updating our plans to better serve our clients. The new plans regulate demand by including ‘views’ of your projects, which you’ll always be able to manage. We have set a high annual view count so that you can continue to share your projects and your vision.

Every Yulio subscription now includes 1 license and 1500 views annually. You will be able to track and manage your views through your new Views Dashboard within your Yulio account. This article will outline how to do that and what counts as a view towards your yearly quota.

What is a View

1 view = 1 session with a VR project.

A Session is a continuous interaction with one VR project and during a session you can interact with as many scenes or annotations as you like.

An interaction is considered continuous as long as the browser tab remains open, there is no expiry or timeout.

A view is counted every time a project is viewed regardless of the device it is viewed on. So a view on a desktop, laptop, phone, tablet or VR headset will be counted the same. Views are counted the same way, whether the project is viewed internally or externally to your Yulio account. So views by account owners, users, colleagues and customers will all be counted.

Views are counted and updated on your dashboard immediately.

Authoring a Project in the Hotspot Editor

While authoring or editing a project within the Hotspot Editor, views do not count. You can enter the Hotspot Editor as many times as you like, and not worry about your view count.

Offline Views

Projects can be downloaded in the Yulio Viewer app on a phone, tablet or within a VR headset for offline viewing. Views that occur while the device is offline will still count towards your yearly view count. Views will be synced to your Yulio account when your device re-connects to the internet.

Viewing AR Assets

Viewing hotspots within a VR project does not count as additional views. You can view as many audio, text, image, video or AR hotspots as you like within a project, and it will only count as 1 viewing session.

You can also preview an AR asset within your Yulio account, using the Preview button. This will not count towards your view count.

However, if you share an AR asset directly using the AR asset URL, it will count as 1 view. You access the AR asset URL using the embed button here:

The AR asset URL is separate from the project URL.

In addition, everytime the AR assets URL is opened via the QR code, this will also count as 1 additional view towards your yearly view count.

Views in Collaborate

When you launch a Collaborate session you can invite your guests to join using the unique 4 digit code for your session. Every guest who joins your Collaborate session will consume 1 view. Guests can interact with as many scenes and annotations as they like.

If the host of the Collaborate session switches the project in the session, it will add 1 additional view per person in the session.

Views With Client Galleries

Whenever a client views a project that is shared to them via a Client Gallery, it will count as 1 additional view towards your yearly view count. Views are counted and updated in your dashboard immediately.

How to Track Views

All users on your account will be able to keep track of your accounts view count. You can access your view count by clicking on your email address in the top right hand corner and then select Company Settings.

The Views Dashboard is now available under the Usage & Plan tab. This is also where you can add on additional subscriptions.

Here you will be able to see a breakdown of how many views your account has delivered and how many views you have available. Your annual view count is determined by the date you sign up for a Yulio subscription. When you sign up, you will have 1500 views until your renewal date 1 year later.

How to Add On Views

In order to add additional views to your Yulio account you must purchase an additional subscription. A subscription includes 1 license and 1500 views annually.

For Standard plans, subscriptions can be purchased directly through your Yulio account under your Usage & Plan page. For Custom and Enterprise plans, please contact our sales team at sales@yulio.com.

When you add additional subscriptions part way through your term, 1 license will be added to your account but the yearly cost and number of views will be prorated to line up with the renewal date of your existing plan, to make it easier to manage your subscription.

When your account is approaching its yearly view limit, Yulio will provide ample notification to account administrators to let them know.

All Administrators on the account will be notified via pop up modal when they log into Yulio, that they are approaching their view limit when 50%, 75%, 90% and 95% of views have been consumed. Administrators can either dismiss the message or purchase additional views by purchasing a subscription.

Administrators will also be notified by pop up modal, banner and email that your company has reached its yearly view count. Directly from these notifications, administrators will be able to add additional subscriptions to your account.

All administrators on the account will also receive a monthly email on the last day of the month with an up to date view count. Administrators have the option to customize their plan directly from the monthly email summary.

View Limit Reached

If your account reaches its annual view count users will be able to log into your account but projects will not be viewable.

In addition, when your account reaches its view limit, any projects you have shared using any of Yulio’s sharing and presenting features including URL, Group Code, Text, QR Code, Embed, Collaborate, Client Galleries or VR headset will not be viewable. The viewer will receive a notification when they open the project link that the project is currently unavailable.
