How to Optimize your Floorplan for Yulio Jump for CET

With the Add Floorplan function for Yulio Jump for CET, you can capture and export your floorplan from CET to your Yulio VR project with a single click. Taking steps to optimize your floorplan before using the Add Floorplan function will ensure floorplan hotspots are in the right place, and that your floorplan is accurately framed in the view box. 

Please note that these are only suggestions. Floorplan requirements will vary from project to project, and we encourage you to use your own judgement before following these steps. 

Step 1: Determine if Your Floorplan Requires a DWG Layout 

• No DWG Layout Required: 
  If your project does not require a DWG layout, follow these steps: 

• • Remove Non-Essential CET Elements: Delete any items that are not essential to your floorplan, such as: 
    • Flooring 
    • Ceiling 
    • Furniture 
    • DWG layout (if included)  

• • Review Custom Shape Tools Items: Be aware that structural or other essential elements created with Custom Shape Tools may obstruct your floorplan 

• DWG Layout Required: 
  If your project requires a DWG layout, follow these steps: 

• • Organize Legends: Place legends for materials, dimensions, notes and other details close to the floor plan for clear reference 

• • Remove Non-Essential CET Elements: Delete any items that are not essential to your floorplan, such as:
    • Flooring
    • Ceiling
    • Furniture 

Step 2: Identify Invisible Items 

• Remove Non-Essential Hidden Items: Some objects might not be visible in your current working view but could still be present in the floorplan. Delete these items if they are not essential to your floorplan 

Helpful Tip: Use the “Zoom to fit” tool to see a comprehensive view of your floorplan, making it easier to spot hidden or unnecessary items 

Step 3: Final Check 

• Complete a Final Check of your Floorplan: Unnecessary items on the floorplan such as legends, disclaimers, unused typicals or an out-of-place ceiling can cause issues with Yulio’s hotspot locations. Ensuring all irrelevant items are removed from your floorplan can prevent this 

That’s it! By following these recommended steps, your floorplan should be optimized for the Add Floorplan function when rendering with Yulio Jump for CET Designer.
