How to Adjust the Appearance of a VR Scene
Yulio’s built-in Adjust Appearance editor allows you to customize the appearance of individual scenes in your project before presenting to your client or team. Keep reading to learn how to make simple adjustments to lighting and color in your scenes and enhance the overall look of your VR projects.
How to use the Adjust Appearance editor
The Adjust Appearance editor can be used post-render, once your VR scenes have been uploaded to your Yulio account.
To get started, open a project in your Yulio account. From the Project Edit page, under the Scenes tab, select the blue Adjust button or click on the Adjust Appearance icon next to any scene.

Within the editor, you can adjust the following settings: Exposure, Highlights, Shadows, Saturation and White Point.

Use the slider tool below each setting to control the intensity of the effect. You can also input a numerical value in the number field or use the increment and decrement buttons for more precise adjustments.

As you make adjustments, you can preview your changes and compare the updated scene to the original by using your mouse to select and hold the Compare icon.

To undo any changes before saving, press the Reverse icon next to the setting you would like to revert back to 0.

Once you’re ready, press Save to save the adjustments for that scene.

To continue adjusting other scenes, click on the Next/Previous scene arrows or select a scene from the thumbnail images at the bottom of your screen.

That’s it! Once you’ve saved your changes, you can view the updated project by selecting the View Project icon.

Can I revert the scene to its original state?
If you have already saved your changes but would like to revert your scene to its original state, select the Revert to Original icon. This will reset all settings for that scene back to 0.

What does each setting do?
Exposure: Controls the overall brightness of the scene
Highlights: Controls the brightness of the lightest areas in the scene
Shadows: Controls the brightness of the darkest areas in the scene
Saturation: Controls the intensity of colors in the scene
White Point: Controls the color temperature of the scene
